Kathleen Folbigg is a monster - UPDATED

In 2015, I wrote the post below about Kathleen Folbigg, convicted of murdering her four children. The deaths of four children in one family are so tragic, so horrific, that our minds shut down the possibility that it could be natural or coincidental. Our grief quickly turns to anger, and so we rush to apportion blame; we have to find a cause, a target for our anger, something to cling to as a way to convince ourselves this couldn't happen to us.
